2026/2027 Community Developmental Screenings
Save the Dates: The Griswold Early Education Program (GEEP) will host two (2) brief community screenings for all prospective students. These meet-and-greet events will take place on March 20 & April 10, 2026.
At the screenings, GEEP and area community programs will provide information about their program/services on both dates. Learn more about the Community Developmental Screenings on this flyer (PDF link).
All families in Griswold and Jewett City with children who were born in the years 2022 and 2023, or were born after September 1, 2021, are invited to schedule an individual appointment for a free developmental screening at Griswold Elementary School. Please request a developmental screening appointment by completing this Google Form. (Form closed -- 2026 GEEP Screenings are full. Please call the GES office with any inquiries regarding preschool for the 26-27 school year.)
Families who complete the GEEP Application before the screening dates will be contacted to schedule a screening for their child. Participation in a screening and completion of the application does not guarantee placement in the Early Education Program.
If you have concerns about your child's development (speech/language, motor, cognitive/attention, or social development), the early education team can provide a screening of these areas. Children must be at least 3 years old on or before the screening date. Please fill out the screening request form above, and you will be contacted to schedule a screening.
Call (860) 376-7610 x1135 if you have any questions.
